Smt. Roopa Anand

Smt. Roopa Anand, a passionate and dedicated Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and teacher, has been imparting the art of Bharatanatyam for over 20 years. She has been trained under various teachers, primarily spending over 28 years training under Shanthala Awardee and Karnataka Kalashree Guru B. Bhanumati, one of India’s most distinguished Bharatanatyam dancers and choreographers. Roopa holds a master's degree in Bharatanatyam from Aria University.

Roopa’s performances have graced many prestigious stages and cultural festivals. Her deep commitment to nurturing the next generation led her to establish Nrityaarpana Dance Academy. At Nrityaarpana, students receive holistic training in both the theoretical and practical aspects of Bharatanatyam. Her students perform at various events, earning accolades and recognition for their talent and dedication. Beyond technique, students are nurtured to imbibe, inculcate and experience the spiritual essence of the art, encouraging them to embody and integrate art as a way of life.
