Aditi Balepur

Aditi Balepur is a rising junior at Saratoga High School. She has been learning Bharatanatyam from Smt. Roopa Anand, Founder and Artistic Director of Nrityaarpana Dance Academy, for ten years. Aditi has enjoyed participating in various solo and group performances at local temples, and has placed in competitions like Maithry Utsav and OSAAT. She recently completed the Madhyama Poorna level of Bharatanatyam examinations from the ABGMV organization.

In addition to dance, Aditi has a passion for music. She learns the Veena from her aunt, Smt. Sneha Melkote, and Carnatic vocal from Sri TN Arunagiri, and has participated in various music competitions and performances. Aditi plays the clarinet in her school's band and has explored multiple other instruments like the violin. Outside of the arts, Aditi has developed an interest in biology, and is eager to pursue it in the future. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Otto. Bharatanatyam, as it integrates self-expression with her culture, has become a very special part of Aditi's life. She looks forward to deepening her understanding and practice of the art form in the coming years.
